U.S. History Resources

The purpose of this web site is to assist students and teachers in U.S. history courses. One of the real challenges that both students and teachers face in taking a survey history course is the overwhelming amount of material that must be covered. For some, understanding of the big picture gets lost in the sheer volume of facts, dates, people, and movements. So this site attempts to clarify, simplify,  and synthesize the facts without making history overly simplistic.

This page was designed to assist students in Greg Feldmeth's A.P. U.S. History course offered at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California. Those students have made numerous recommendations to the page and corrected errors. A number of teachers and students at the high school and college level have also  visited the site, made suggestions as to improvements, and volunteered to help broaden its coverage.
