MFA2 Class Schedules

Class schedules were collected from a majority of MFA2 students enrolled in the Art and Photo/Media Programs at California Institute of the Arts in the Fall of 2008. The schedules were uniformly printed and installed alphabetically, clockwise from door, in the exhibition (Annex Studio 18) space during the first week of the academic year. Each schedule provided inference to both individual and group composition(s) of a student's/MFA class' chosen educational direction over the semester of study both in terms of modes and areas of thought as well as relative geographical location throughout a given week.

An auxillary function of the curation was to provide a reference space for those students who participated during a time when one's schedule may not fully be engrained yet. The gallery hours were determined by the hours classes were in secession during the week.

Staggered voids appeared in places along the wall brought on by the students enrolled in the programs who chose not to participate.
